Dischidia need potting mix with quick drainage that can provide good air circulation around the roots. This Dischidia can withstand a little dryness between waterings but don’t let it go too long as the leaves are fairly thin. Potting mixes that retain too much moisture for too long will rot the roots. Typical potting mixes for Dischidia contain perlite, tree bark for orchids, cactus and succulent potting mix, coco coir, or sand among other ingredients, but dense substrates like peat are used in moderation to prevent moisture retention. Unless of course you go semi-hydro. I’m not here to tell you what to do. All of my plants are grown in Lechuzapon.
