I searched for Hoya indaysarae for a long time before finally adding it to my collection. I am so thrilled to offer it in my shop for other collectors!
Hoya indaysarae was collected on April 23, 2017, on Central Dinagat Island, growing on an old velvet apple (kamagong) tree. Interestingly, This Hoya is named after Philippine vice president Sara Duterte-Carpio, daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, for her support in the environmental initiatives of the Caraga Region, and her support for nature conservation efforts in the region.
This is an unrooted cutting. You will get 1-2 unrooted leaves.

Care level: easy
Ideal temperature: 68-85°F / 20-27°C.
Humidity: 50% and above.
Light: Bright, indirect light. A little full sun is okay with acclimation.
Sun Exposure: In the northern hemisphere, south, east, or west-facing rooms. Doesn’t want hours of direct sun. North-facing windows will not provide enough light for bloom initiation.
Hoyas need potting mix with quick drainage that can provide good air circulation around the roots. This Hoya can withstand a little dryness between waterings but don’t let it go too long as the leaves are fairly thin. Potting mixes that retain too much moisture for too long will rot the roots. Typical potting mixes for Hoyas contain perlite, tree bark for orchids, cactus and succulent potting mix, coco coir, or sand among other ingredients, but dense substrates like peat are used in moderation to prevent moisture retention. Unless of course you go semi-hydro. I’m not here to tell you what to do. All of my plants are grown in Lechuzapon.
